From late February to early April, more than 1,500 residents took part in Kreuz&Quer, the City of Munich’s popular mobility scavenger hunt. Now in its 13th edition, the activity invited locals to explore the Harthof–Am Hart–Freimann neighbourhood in a climate-friendly way—on foot, by bike, or by scooter—over the course of 43 match days.
The ASCEND district office, based at the Church of Reconciliation, served as one of the distribution points for game materials, supporting the initiative’s goal of encouraging sustainable everyday mobility.
The campaign concluded with a lively neighbourhood festival hosted on the church grounds, where ASCEND took part through Europamobil and information stands. The project team engaged residents in conversations about local mobility measures and energy communities being developed as part of the Positive Clean Energy District in Harthof.
The STATTAUTO München CarSharing was also present, showcasing an electric vehicle and promoting the new e-car sharing offer on Weyprechtstraße—highlighting how local partners are contributing to a more connected, low-emission future in the district.
Kreuz&Quer 2025 offered a playful yet impactful way to promote sustainable mobility, while reinforcing ASCEND’s commitment to working alongside local communities to shape climate-positive neighbourhoods.
