Enlit Europe 2026

From 10 to 12 November 2026, Enlit Europe will bring the energy community to Vienna to explore how Europe can build a more integrated, resilient and competitive energy system. The event will connect utilities, grid operators, technology providers, policymakers, researchers and innovators working across the full energy value chain, with discussions covering everything from grid infrastructure and renewable generation to digitalisation, flexibility, storage and energy efficiency. Enlit expects around 15,000 participants, 750 exhibitors and 600 speakers from across the international energy sector.

A major focus of the event will be how Europe can move towards a dependable, decarbonised and digitalised energy system. The programme will address the practical challenges of planning, financing, building and operating this transition, while also highlighting the technologies and partnerships needed to integrate increasing shares of renewable energy and distributed resources. These questions are particularly relevant for cities and districts, where local generation, buildings, mobility and energy networks increasingly need to operate as interconnected parts of a wider system.

The EU Projects Zone will also provide a dedicated space for EU-funded initiatives to exchange experience and present solutions supporting the energy transition. Projects expected to participate include BiPED, ExPEDite, POSIFIT, REFORMERS, INTELLIGENT, ECS4DRES, ORION, INTEREST, InterPED and PEDvolution. ASCEND itself will not have a dedicated stand, although project partners AIT and CVUT will be present at the event, creating an opportunity to connect ASCEND’s work on Positive Clean Energy Districts with the wider European energy community.
