
Crash Course for Cities is a one-day training co-organised with the Covenant of Mayors and CEE Bankwatch Network that will provide local authorities, municipal utilities and city planners with practical tools for decarbonisation, district heating, system modernisation, financing mechanisms and stakeholder engagement which are all essential aspects of advancing Positive Clean Energy Districts and relevant to the Positive Energy Districts EU-funded projects in the Scalable Cities community.
The event will be held in Prague, one of ASCEND’s Multiplier cities.
Crash Course for Cities, a training programme on District Heating and Cooling tailored for local authorities, city representatives, government officials and municipally owned companies. The CCC will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, in conjunction with the Euroheat & Power Congress (3-5 June 2025).
Organised in collaboration with the Covenant of Mayors and CEE Bankwatch Network, this free course will be delivered in English, with Czech translation available throughout the entire day. The focus will be on district heating decarbonisation strategies, modernisation approaches, financing opportunities and stakeholder engagement. The programme will also include a networking dinner to connect with peers and industry leaders.
Participants who qualify for the "local authority" ticket will also enjoy complimentary access to the Euroheat & Power Congress.
