The CLIMA Conference, taking place on 26 and 27 November 2026 in Issy-les-Moulineaux, near Paris, will mark the final conference of the Horizon Europe project CLIMABOROUGH. The event will bring together local decision-makers, researchers and urban innovation experts to share lessons from several years of testing new approaches to climate action in European cities.
CLIMABOROUGH has focused on accelerating the transition towards climate neutrality through urban experimentation and innovation. The conference will showcase practical experience from energy and mobility pilots across six cities, circular economy initiatives in seven cities, and the use of artificial intelligence and digital twins in urban planning.
Participants will also explore how public procurement, digital platforms, citizen engagement and stronger cooperation can help cities turn climate ambitions into concrete and replicable solutions. The programme will highlight practical tools developed through the project and consider how successful approaches can move beyond experimentation towards wider implementation.
