In ASCEND's Multiplier City Porto, an innovative platform is now available for decision-makers. Developed by Porto Digital, in partnership with NOVA IMS Information Management School, the Urban Dynamic Indicator is a tool for urban management which monitors city data on a daily basis, such as traffic intensity, public transport use, internet use on public buses, NO2 emissions and noise levels.
The Municipality of Porto can use the digital platform for:
- short-term decision-making
- the design and adjustment of policies
- reacting to crises
- understanding the evolution of urban dynamics during normal periods of activity
The Urban Dynamic Indicator, an important tool in the scope of ASCEND, is now among the finalists in the Portugal Digital Awards, promoted by IDC Portugal and Axians. Check out the platform here.
