How to deploy innovative financial strategies to unlock private investment for climate transition projects
On March 27th and 28th, 2025, an in-person event will take place in Barcelona, focusing on "How to deploy innovative financial strategies to unlock private investment for climate transition projects."
This in-person Peer-to-Peer (P2P) event, organised by Scalable Cities and City Hall of Barcelona, with four other cities – Dijon, Bristol, Leuven, and Lund - focuses on understanding how to scale and accelerate the transition, while deploying innovative financial strategies to unlock private investment.
This event is designed as a generative space where the five leading cities - Barcelona, Bristol, Dijon, Leven, and Lund - and eight other participating cities share their projects, knowledge, and experience. They engage in debates, suggest solutions, and offer improvements to one another. By collaborating, cities can learn from each other and create a European network that extends beyond this event and the Scalable Cities initiative.
The event will explore the key financial mechanisms that can drive the green transition, with a focus on mobilising private sector capital. As the financial gap for climate action continues to grow, cities, businesses, and financial institutions must collaborate to ensure the necessary funding flows to climate-related projects.
Local experts, financial professionals, and investors will be present to offer guidance and expertise throughout the sessions.
A budget of up to 900 euros is available to cover travel and accommodation expenses for registered cities. Don't miss your spot—register now!
This is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and learn from each other's cities!
