The Community of Practice session will take place on October 30th at 13.15 CET and will provide a practical guide to reducing the energy demand of buildings through passive design solutions, focusing on understanding key local climatic factors such as temperature, humidity, ventilation and wind direction.
Participating projects, including ASCEND, NEUTRALPATH and NetZeroCities will discover strategies to minimize dependence on active heating and cooling systems. Through interactive activities and high-quality case studies, participants will learn how to identify the most effective passive measures adapted to their specific city and how to evaluate their potential for significant energy savings.
ASCEND will showcase the 2226 standard implemented in Lyon and the prefabricated solutions designed in Munich. From other projects and cities there will be much more content.
