PEDvolution has officially launched its Open Call for Positive Energy Districts, inviting municipalities, energy communities, urban developers, and technology providers across Europe to test, validate, and enhance energy solutions designed to accelerate the development of climate-neutral districts.
The initiative focuses on improving PED Readiness Levels through interoperable tools, including digital twins, energy management systems, business model innovations, and citizen engagement platforms.
Successful applicants will gain access to technical support, collaboration opportunities, and financial assistance to pilot PEDvolution solutions. Selected participants will also work alongside demonstrators in Germany, Slovenia, and Switzerland, contributing to the development of European best practices in sustainable urban transformation.
The call is open to a wide range of stakeholders—public authorities, energy providers, SMEs, startups, research institutions, and citizen-led initiatives—who are actively involved in planning or operating PEDs.
Interested candidates can apply as single entities or in consortiums, with projects at any stage of development. The application period runs from 1 May to 30 June 2025.
