On 25 March, the third InterPED community engagement workshop took place in Findhorn Ecovillage, bringing together 13 residents, project partners, and researchers from Heriot-Watt University. The session focused on testing the first version of the community energy dashboard, developed by SIMAVI to help residents better understand and manage their energy use.
Participants explored the dashboard hands-on, provided feedback on usability, clarity, and features, and discussed how it could support energy awareness in daily life. Insights gathered will directly inform the next phase of development, ensuring the tool reflects real community needs.
These insights are highly relevant for ASCEND cities exploring citizen-driven approaches and digital tools to support the design and implementation of Positive Clean Energy Districts.
